Adam Wookey MCSP Founder & Lead Physiotherapist

I founded Fit Forming with a clear vision: to empower people to lead active, fulfilling lives, regardless of their age or physical starting point. My commitment is to build a strong, resilient foundation for every client, and this is the core principle that drives our entire approach.

My expertise is rooted in a comprehensive background across both Physiotherapy and Personal Training. I’ve worked in NHS intensive care, orthopaedics, and musculoskeletal care, which gives me the clinical experience to guide clients from acute injury management all the way to long-term physical resilience. My specialisms include shoulders, knees, and developing strength training programmes for people aged 50 and over.

As a lifelong athlete myself—with a background in rugby, long-distance running, CrossFit, and Olympic Weightlifting—I have a deep, personal understanding of these sports. This experience directly informs how I work with people who want to enhance their physical performance, whether that's running further, lifting heavier, or simply maintaining the strength and fitness their sport demands.

My approach is built on encouragement, a positive outlook, and truly personalised care. I am dedicated to helping you overcome pain and injury to unlock your full physical potential, ensuring you not only regain function but achieve sustainable wellbeing for the long term.

Nick Carpenter-Brooks MCSP
Senior Physiotherapist

My journey into physiotherapy began with a personal understanding of what it feels like to be held back by your body. As a former professional rugby player, I've experienced the frustration of injury firsthand. That's why my passion is helping people move beyond just fixing an injury to building real, lasting strength for a more active life.

My background includes a degree in Sport & Exercise Science and a Masters in Physiotherapy. I've been fortunate to work in high-performance sport with leading teams like Bristol Bears and England Netball. This has given me a deep understanding of how to get the most out of your body, whether you're recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or simply aiming to move without pain.

I know that for most people, "performance" means being able to do the things they love—whether that's walking the dog, enjoying a favourite hobby, or keeping up with family. My goal is to listen to your story, understand your unique needs, and use my experience and tools like VALD technology to create a plan that feels achievable and genuinely tailored to you.

I am dedicated to helping you not just recover, but to feel stronger and more confident than before.
